Air Canada will increase operations to Liberia Airport

Starting in mid-December, Air Canada will see a major increase in its operations to the province of Guanacaste, which will increase the number of tourists from the cities of Montreal and Toronto entering the country by the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport.

New flight to Liberia, Guanacaste via Rockford, Illinois

This Wednesday, july 20, the Costa Rican Tourism Board reached a deal with the airline Apple Vacations, approving the start of operations for the Rockford, Illinois to Liberia route. This new flight will arrive at Daniel Oduber Airport once per week with a B737-800, transporting 2,340 seats during the agreed period, which will begin on January 4, 2019 to April 5th of that year.

"Jale al Puerto", the new campaign to project Puntarenas as a tourist destination

At Plaza del Pacifico, in downtown Puntarenas, the First Lady of Costa Rica, Claudia Dobles, and the Minister of Tourism, Maria Amalia Revelo, announced the "Jale al Puerto" ("Head to the Port") tourism campaign, which will be kicked off in August at the national level.

This initiative is being led by ICT in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady and the participation of the Costa Rican Institute of Pacific Ports (INCOP), the Tourism Promotion Board and the Puntarenas Chamber of Tourism.
