Emirates and Jetblue open shared route to connect San Jose and Dubai

The Technical Council of Civil Aviation approved the request from Emirates Airlines and JetBlue Airways for the operation of flights under a shared code between San Jose and Dubai via points in the United States. Emirates is one of the most sophisticated airlines in the world, flying with a fleet of 244 planes, all of which are Airbus 380 or Boeing 777-300, to more than 160 countries directly or with a shared flight. The base for the company's operations is the Dubai International Airport.

Poas Volcano National Park welcomed more than 1,500 tourists

After being closed to the public for 16 months, the Poas Volcano welcomed 1,550 visitors last weekend following its official re-opening last Thursday in the presence of the President of the Republic, Carlos Alvarado Quesada, leaders of the institutions involved, NGOs and the communities surrounding the volcano.

Costa Rica will host a World Surf League Tour date

Some of the world's highest-ranked surfers will be competing in Costa Rica at one of the stops of the World Surf League (WSL). The event, whose official name is Essential Costa Rica Surf Pro, will be held in our country on October 4-7 at Jaco Beach with backing from WSL North America and the producer, RPM TV. The event has also been endorsed by the Costa Rica Surf Federation.

TripAdvisor research today reveals countries and destinations that put travelers in the heart of nature are the world's top-ranked for travel experiences, according to travelers themselves. The data revealed Costa Rica - known for rainforests, volcanos, beaches and surfing - to be the world's best destination for travel experiences, taking top spot on both the country and destination lists. New Zealand, famed for its adventure tourism, ranked second among the best countries, while Vietnam, known for its bustling cities, delicious food and beautiful coastline took third place.
